Author of “Always on the Side of the Egg”, Haruki Murakami, presents his strong stance for believing that he will stand by his morals no matter what other people say to him. He will not waiver despite the consequences for his ideas that are ingrained within him.

We cannot allow the intimidating to influence us with their thoughts that will not bring us to success.

The“responsible” adults I claimed to have all the answers at a young age, slowly seep into our minds to divert us from my own path. Only to find out, as I got older, that it was to bring me to a path unfulfilled by that influencer.

Egg drawing by Robert Sloan

Robert Sloan, artist of the egg drawing above, illustrates how “black and white” we see the world. In other words, we constantly perceive that there’s only the good and bad. This mindset is set up by society, or “The System”, according to Murakami.
